A well‑established commercial builder with a strong presence across Florida is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support growing project demand. The company delivers ground-up and renovation work across sectors such as commercial, energy-adjacent facilities, light industrial, and institutional builds—typically ranging from small TI packages to complex projects up to $10M. They are known for stability, internal growth, and a culture that emphasizes mentorship and long-term development.


Your new role

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will support the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout. You will partner closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Owner/Client teams while taking on increasing responsibility as you grow. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating subcontractors, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and procurement
  • Assisting in project budgeting, cost tracking, and change management
  • Supporting development and maintenance of project schedules
  • Conducting site walks and ensuring documentation aligns with field progress
  • Preparing owner updates and participating in OAC meetings
  • Managing project documentation through industry-standard platforms

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 2–5+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a GC
  • Experience supporting projects up to $10M (ground-up or renovations)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and field coordination
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, design teams, and owners
  • A proactive and organized approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, not required
