Salary: $140K-$160K + Benefits

A well-established General Contractor specializing in heavy civil infrastructure projects across New York City is looking to add an experienced Assistant Project Manager to their team. The company has a strong reputation in the industry and an impressive pipeline of MTA and public infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers with the day-to-day management of heavy civil construction projects
Assist with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
Review project drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
Coordinate with field teams, consultants, owners, and public agencies
Track project progress and help ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards
Prepare project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and change orders
Participate in meetings with MTA representatives and project stakeholders
Help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
Previous experience with MTA, transit, bridge, tunnel, roadway, or public infrastructure projects strongly preferred
Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, and project controls
Experience with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office preferred
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment
