We are seeking a full-time, on-site Assistant Production Manager to support apparel production operations at our New York City factory.


This role will work closely with our production team and assist with overseas production communication, production tracking, spreadsheet management, and day-to-day coordination with factories in China. The right person must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep multiple moving parts aligned across production timelines, inventory, and internal updates.


This is an operations-heavy role for someone who understands how to stay on top of production details, communicate clearly, and help keep things moving without constant oversight.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with daily apparel production operations and coordination
  • Communicate with factories in China regarding production updates, status checks, timelines, and follow-up
  • Update and maintain all production spreadsheets and internal tracking documents
  • Support the production manager with overseas production workflow and day-to-day needs
  • Help keep production timelines, statuses, and deliverables organized and current
  • Track and align inventory across production and internal records
  • Assist with inventory dating and inventory management
  • Manage returns and help maintain accurate product flow records
  • Support shipping and order handling as needed for our e-commerce component
  • Help ensure inventory, production, and internal records stay accurate and aligned


Requirements


  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing spreadsheets, trackers, and production documents
  • Able to work full-time on-site in New York City
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow through consistently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced apparel production environment


Preferred


  • Experience in apparel production, fashion production, or manufacturing coordination
  • Experience communicating with overseas factories or vendors
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking, returns, and shipping workflows
  • Experience supporting production managers or operations teams
