Primary Responsibilities: ● Supervise, coach, and evaluate instructional personnel, both formally and informally. ● Help with the recruitment, selection, and retention of faculty and other instructional staff who are best fitted to the mission of the school. ● Lead the implementation of a common, rigorous, college-ready curriculum so that all students can achieve at high levels, while also being attentive to the academic needs of our students, recognizing that many come to us two or more grade levels behind. ● Lead teachers toward consistent use of evidence-based instructional strategies with a high probability of increasing student achievement. ● Lead teachers in interpreting and using student achievement data to inform instruction. ● Organize and create the master schedule and the school calendar. ● Oversee implementation of PowerSchool SIS and ParentSquare. ● Demonstrate the ability to skillfully facilitate meetings and work sessions, including weekly faculty meetings that focus on collaboration and development of instructional skills. ● With the principal, organize and implement faculty planning week at the beginning of the year with a focus on instructional goals and collaboration. ● Report at regular intervals on student academic progress (both individual and collective) to all constituents, including members of administration, parents, faculty, and school committees. ● Organize summer academic enrichment and remediation programs with the Academic Support Team. ● Oversee academic reporting and recording, including grade reports, transcripts, permanent records, quarterly progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, honor roll, class rank, and academic recognition. ● Organize placement of students in honors/AP courses as well as English and math tutoring and academic probation. ● Collaborate with the Academic Support Program to discuss student goals and achievements. ● Run the Academic Review Board and meet with parents to discuss graduation eligibility and academic probation. ● Oversee the Program for Academic Recovery (PAR) utilizing the Mercy Online Learning framework. ● Collaborate with College Counseling to ensure students are on track to be eligible for four year colleges. ● Ensure appropriate use of instructional technology and its integration in the academic curriculum. ● Implement and oversee student accommodations based on IEP, 504, and school assessments. ● Coordinate College Board testing (SAT, AP) or when applicable support the Testing Coordinator. ● In collaboration with the principal, oversee and implement Title programs and other available government funding. ● Coordinate Back to School Night and Parent-Teacher Conferences. ● Collaborate with other school leaders in our various school networks: Jesuit School Network, Mercy Education System of the Americas, Cristo Rey Network. ● Assume other duties as assigned by the school principal. Health, dental and vision benefits at 50% employer paid for dependent coverage. ➢ 401K benefits to all full-time employees with an employer contribution of 2% of the employees annual salary, after a 12 month waiting period.
