Supports daily operations of the Planning Department, including staffing the public counter, providing customer service, and assisting applicants and residents with zoning, development, and regulatory questions.
Reviews and processes residential development and view preservation applications for compliance with local ordinances and State regulations, and tracks projects through plan check and construction.
Conducts field inspections to ensure adherence to conditions of approval and assists with code enforcement investigations.
Prepares staff reports, agendas, resolutions, ordinances, and public notices, and presents items to Commissions and City Council.
Assists with environmental review in accordance with CEQA, research and data analysis, and special projects in coordination with consultants.
Works closely with community organizations and responds to sensitive inquiries with professionalism and tact.
Evening meetings and occasional field work required.
