THE POSITION
Working under the direction of the Medical Director of the Health Services Agency, the Assistant Medical Director at each ambulatory care clinic will play a key role in ensuring that the organization’s mission, goals, and values are supported and implemented by the clinical staff. The Assistant Medical Director will ensure that medical practices are in place to support high quality, cost-effective and efficient clinical services at the clinic. The individual will oversee and supervise all licensed providers and ensure that the medical program’s clinical goals and measures are met at the clinic. The Assistant Medical Director will consult with the Medical Director and other County Leadership to identify program needs, supports and resources. CLASSIFICATION INFORMATION
Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Unclassified Service of the County and considered “at will” for labor relations purposes. The individual selected will participate in the Stanislaus County Pay-for-Performance program, as well as receive additional benefits.

Note: The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill future extra-help, part-time and full-time vacancies throughout Stanislaus County.
Incumbents may also be subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday and shift assignments as identified in their MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).
