We are looking to expand our Intelligent Mobility team for the Middle East Region by appointing an Assistant Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Engineer to join WSP’s team in the Global Capacity Center (GCC) in India. You will support the Middle East Intelligent Mobility team, working on high-profile ITS projects across the Middle East Region. This role involves the design and implementation of ITS solutions, focusing on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of transportation networks.
Support the design and development of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for highways and tunnels, including VMS, CCTV, vehicle detection systems, emergency call systems, AID, tunnel ventilation interfaces, and communication networks.
Assist in the development and design of tunnel ITS systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
Contribute to the design and implementation of highway ITS solutions such as lane control, speed enforcement, and traffic monitoring systems.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support the integration of ITS designs within broader transport and infrastructure projects.
Assist in feasibility studies, technical assessments, and cost‑benefit analyses to support ITS planning and design decisions.
Support the preparation of detailed design documentation, technical specifications, and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
Provide technical assistance to project teams and clients throughout various project stages.
Assist in the design of traffic signalized intersections and traffic management systems as part of integrated transport solutions.
Stay informed about emerging ITS technologies, standards, and best practices to support innovative design approaches.
Support project delivery activities, including coordination of schedules, resources, and documentation.
Ensure ITS designs comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and quality requirements under supervision.
Participate in client meetings and stakeholder discussions, supporting senior team members as required.
Preference: Familiarity with ITC requirements for ITS works in Abu UAE/ME is an advantage.
