Assistant District Attorney

The Ulster County District Attorney’s Office is currently hiring for the following position:

Assistant District Attorney II (1-3 yrs experience)

Seeking experienced attorneys with legal experience, including prosecutorial or comparable litigation experience. Candidates should have strong courtroom skills and the ability to independently manage a caseload.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 1-3 years of recent criminal law experience in New York
• Experience in handling domestic violence, child abuse and sex crimes a plus
• Strong courtroom litigation and motion practice skills
• Experience with CPL §245 discovery requirements
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $111,000-$117,000 (based on experience)
