Job Description

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in Assisted Living. This role supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. The ADON will manage the increasing complexity and demands of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting the development of occupancy growth and staffing plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care in the Assisted Living facility.
• Support the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff.
• Ensure the highest quality of care for residents.
• Manage the complexity and demands of the nursing department.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Support the development of occupancy growth and staffing plans.

Essential Skills

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current MN RN License.
• 5+ years of nursing experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in long-term care.
• Familiarity with Minnesota healthcare regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing, Business, or a health-related field preferred.
• Ability to handle complex and demanding situations.
• Proficiency in staff education and scheduling.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and technological support.

Work Environment

The position is based in an assisted living/long-term care environment. It requires working Monday through Friday, 1st shift, 40 hours per week. The role includes oversight for Assisted Living Facility (ALF) licensure and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) licensure (do not need knowledge of both).

This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, MN.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $105.00/hr.
