St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH is a small 22 – bed dually licensed skilled/long term care nursing home with a family like atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) to join our nursing management team. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


•Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department

•Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care

•Plan, develop, direct, evaluate and coordinate staff development educational programs to include new hire orientation, staff in-services and on-the-job training

•Plan, develop, coordinate and direct the Infection Control Program

•Provide staffing coverage as requested to maintain appropriate staff ratios

•Share “on call” responsibility with DNS and other nursing team members.



Requirements


•Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

•Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing

•Must have at least two years’ experience as a supervisor in a healthcare facility long-term care setting

•Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that pertain to long-term care

•Must be IP certified /(or willing to be certified)

•Must be CPR/BCLS and IV certified

•Interact professionally with residents, family members, visitors, staff and governmental agencies

•Must be able to work with minimum of supervision; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
