We are exclusively representing our client, a fast-growing, omni-channel consumer products company, with global operations, in hiring an Assistant Controller.
This role will serve as a key partner to the Corporate Controller and play a leadership role in the accounting function, including managing accounting processes across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable systems to support business growth.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, experience in inventory and revenue accounting, and thrives in a dynamic, multi-channel environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Playing an integral part in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Supporting consolidation across multiple sales channels and entities
- Overseeing revenue recognition across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels
- Partnering cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes
- Supporting audits and external reporting by ensuring readiness and accuracy of documentation
- Identifying and driving process improvements with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and control
- Assisting the Corporate Controller with broader accounting initiatives and special projects
- Providing guidance and oversight to team members and contributing to strengthening the accounting function
Qualifications:
- 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in a multi-entity, international environment with multi-currency transactions
- Proven ability to own processes end-to-end and operate with limited supervision
- Experience in retail, wholesale, or inventory-driven environments preferred
- Proficiency with large ERP systems
