Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for lifting parts onto an assembly line, with the assistance of a small hoist for heavier items. You will follow instructions displayed on a computer screen to proceed with the assembly process, utilizing basic hand tools. The role involves repetitive tasks and requires attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lift parts weighing up to 50lbs onto the assembly line.
  • Utilize a small hoist for lifting heavier products.
  • Follow computer screen instructions for the next steps in the assembly process.
  • Operate basic hand tools such as air rivet guns and battery-powered drills.
  • Conduct mechanical assembly and ensure product quality.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly and production.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and warehouse environments.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment with flexible shift options: 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, or 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Employees can choose to eat during 15-minute breaks and leave early if preferred. Voluntary overtime is available for both shifts, offering additional work opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
