Job Title: Assembly Technician (1st Shift)
Job Description
The Assembly Technician plays a key role on the production floor by assembling and sub-assembling component parts using hand and power tools in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will work in small, collaborative cell groups to build cooler units and bundle components according to detailed work orders, perform quality checks with measuring devices, and prepare finished products for shipment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to cross-train across multiple assembly functions.

Work Environment
This role is on 1st shift, typically working from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with additional hours as required by production needs. The facility has undergone significant upgrades, including an investment of approximately $5 million in new assembly cells and equipment. The pressing operation and assembly areas are clean and climate controlled, ensuring consistent product quality and a comfortable work environment. The workplace is ergonomically conscious, with a strong safety record and more than five years without a work-loss injury for this process. Team members work in cell groups of approximately 3 to 6 people, within a facility of over 75 employees, fostering close collaboration and support. Lifting requirements are typically up to about 35 pounds, with team lifts or hoists used for heavier items at each location. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toe boots, long work pants such as jeans or work trousers (no shorts or tank tops), safety glasses, and a safety vest; hearing protection is available and may be used as needed. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.16/hr.
