Aerotek is currently hiring assemblers for day shift roles near Midtown, St. Louis City!

Job Description

Assemblers refurbishes and repairs small electronic equipment using hand tools and basic mechanical skills. This role involves hands-on bench assembly work, troubleshooting issues, and restoring equipment to proper working condition in a structured first-shift environment.

Responsibilities

  • Refurbish and repair small electronic equipment at a workbench.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble equipment using small hand tools such as drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
  • Perform bench assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and adjusting components to ensure proper operation.
  • Work safely with equipment that involves both water and electricity, following provided safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify basic mechanical and electrical issues and apply appropriate corrective actions under guidance.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to complete repairs and refurbishments according to established standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and surrounding work area.
  • Document work performed as required, such as noting parts used or issues found.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work and meet daily production and quality goals.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work comfortably with small mechanical and electronic components.
  • Proficiency using small hand tools, including drills, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to perform bench assembly work with attention to detail and quality.
  • Comfort working with equipment that involves both water and electricity while following safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical or electronic issues.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly and repair tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with hand tools in a repair, assembly, or maintenance setting is beneficial.
  • Experience in bench assembly or electronics repair is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new repair procedures and techniques through provided training.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple units and tasks efficiently.

Shift Available:

6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
