Position Title: Custom Equipment Assembly Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled hands-on assembler to support the build of made‑to‑order industrial equipment. This role involves working from detailed specifications to construct unique assemblies for a diverse customer base. Ideal candidates enjoy problem‑solving, working independently, and taking pride in precision craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble customized mechanical equipment using detailed drawings and build documentation
  • Measure, cut, align, and install components to exact specifications
  • Utilize a range of hand tools and powered equipment to complete assemblies efficiently
  • Adjust builds as needed to meet customer‑specific requirements
  • Inspect finished assemblies to ensure accuracy, fit, and function
Required Experience & Skills
  • Strong ability to interpret prints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Confident use of common hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
  • Several years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a skilled trade
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Preferred (Not Required) Experience
  • Experience working with plastics or fabricated components
  • Familiarity with piping systems such as PVC or stainless steel
  • Prior hands‑on experience in trades like carpentry, plumbing, or general fabrication
  • Exposure to welding concepts or plastic heat‑forming techniques

Work Setting & Schedule
  • Small, close‑knit manufacturing team (under 20 employees)

  • First shift hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:45 PM

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
