HVAC Assembler

Weekly Pay | $20–26/hour

Job Overview

This hands‑on HVAC Assembler role supports the build of chiller units for data centers and custom equipment in a modern, climate‑controlled manufacturing environment. Employees assemble units using hand and power tools, provide general shop support, and work closely with a small, collaborative team to meet daily production goals. Opportunities are available to cross‑train into custom unit assembly and additional production areas over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble chiller units for data center applications following detailed work instructions and build specifications
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently during the assembly process
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams as needed
  • Perform general shop support duties, including sweeping and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
  • Shrink wrap and package materials or completed units for shipping or storage
  • Assist with material handling and production clean‑up to support workflow
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals and schedules
  • Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures
  • Cross‑train into additional assembly areas, including custom unit assembly and sheet metal tasks
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding progress or issues
  • Demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience (sheet metal or mechanical assembly preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience using hand and power tools in a production environment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and basic schematics
  • Basic understanding of mechanical assembly processes
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and quality
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and team‑oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform material handling and clean‑up tasks
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work area
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sheet metal or mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication
  • Exposure to electrical assemblies, wiring, or schematics
  • HVAC or related manufacturing experience
  • Ability to adapt and cross‑train into new assembly areas
  • Stable work history and interest in long‑term employment

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Large, brand‑new, climate‑controlled warehouse with dedicated assembly areas
  • Small, close‑knit team with supportive leadership
  • First Shift:
    • Monday–Thursday: 5:30 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Friday: 5:30 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Second Shift:
    • Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 1:30 AM
  • One 30‑minute lunch and two paid 10‑minute breaks per shift
  • Casual dress code; steel‑toe boots required
  • Position will transition to a nearby facility as the company expands

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
