Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role involves the assembly of large industrial product, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, specialized torque equipment, pneumatic tooling, electrical testing equipment, and lifting devices/cranes. The successful candidate will be manipulating components during the assembly process and learning the technical aspects of assembly, including troubleshooting and repair of in-process items.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large product using hand and power tools.
  • Utilize specialized torque equipment, pneumatic tooling, electrical testing equipment, and lifting devices/cranes.
  • Manipulate engine components during the assembly process.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications for custom engine assembly.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in an industrial environment working with hands.
  • Experience using mechanical tooling including torque equipment, DC tools, and hand tools.
  • Proven mid-level mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience following written work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, etc.
  • CPU skills to follow engineering drawings, work instructions, processes.
  • Steel-toed or composite shoes required to start.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in industries such as automotive, diesel technician, lube technician, tire shop, farming, construction, maintenance, and facilities.
  • No diploma required.

Work Environment

The manufacturing environment is temperature-controlled. The facility maintains a clean and safe workspace, with minimal debris and emphasis on safety. PPE is required, including steel or composite toe shoes, earplugs, and protective glasses, which are provided. Dress code is relaxed, allowing sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, work pants, and jeans. The campus is tobacco-free, with designated areas for use during approved break times.

Huge 3rd shift need however there are openings on other shifts:

1st Shift: 6:30AM-2:30PM - $21.34

2nd Shift: 2:30PM-10:30PM - $22.09

3rd Shift: 10:30PM- 6:30AM - $22.09

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.34 - $22.09/hr.
