Job Description:
The Assembler is responsible for assembling/un-assembling and testing company product. This position may specialize in particular products or processes. Additionally, this position follows all work area related processes and procedures to assemble/un-assemble units, utilizing hand tools, small power equipment, microscopes, and other special equipment/fixtures. Finally, this position is required to complete paperwork fully, accurately, and timely and practice good housekeeping.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble/un-assemble a wide range of products, using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications.
Work cross functionally within the department – testing troubleshooting equipment
Completes required documentation.
Wire equipment
Utilizes the inventory management System-Kanban, cycle counting, physical inventory.
Performs material handling, receiving and stocking of materials and sales coordination.
Adheres to facility safety and health requirements; wears prescribed PPE.
Maintains work area, tools and/or equipment, and machines.
Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
Education: High School Diploma (or GED) required.
Experience/Skills:
One (1) year manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of electronics and mechanics
Electrical wiring experience preferred
Good manufacturing operations knowledge and practices.
Computer experience required
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good Problem solving, Multi-tasking and Teamwork skills
Good decision-making skills
Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks while working in a fast-paced environment
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently (34% - 66%) be required to bend, squat, twist/turn, and walk, and constantly (67% - 100%) be required to talk, hear, reach outward, stand, and grasp with hands. They will occasionally (1% - 33%) be required to occasionally climb, crawl, reach above shoulder, sit, and type.
The employee must carry up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally and push and pull up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring object into sharp focus.
