Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Assembly TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technician to perform a variety of assembly tasks. You will work with flowcharts, assembly drawings, and visual aids, using hand tools, jigs/fixtures, and mechanical presses. Your work will include cable-cutting, connectorization, and shrink tubing operations. You will also be responsible for testing and tuning assembled units to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and intermediate levels of mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Utilize flowcharts, assembly drawings, and visual aids for assembly tasks.
  • Conduct cable-cutting, cable-stripping, connectorization, and shrink tubing operations.
  • Read and understand assembly and packing instructions, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Test and tune assembled/completed units following company quality procedures.
  • Complete production logs and other process documentation as required.
  • Communicate assembly and test problems and offer verbal suggestions.
  • Skillfully use ruler and other measuring devices.
  • Label packaging products in specific bags, boxes, tubes, and other packaging media.
  • Organize work area and maintain housekeeping standards, cleanliness, and safe working conditions.
  • Assist in training team members by sharing product and process knowledge.
  • Strictly follow all departmental processes and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with assembly tasks using hand and power tools.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal, reading, and written communication skills in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Soldering experience is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Bloomingdale, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
