Position Summary:
As an Area Manager, you will lead our stores and coach a team of Store Managers to deliver optimal customer experience, operational excellence, maximum productivity and profitable sales growth. You will be accountable to drive consistent and high performance across all initiatives. The main objective of the position is to set and achieve business goals and represent the brand promoting its values within the market. You will work closely and effectively with other business functions such as buying, store planning, operations, CRM, Brand, HR, Finance and VM.
Responsibilities:
- Set business objectives of the area, closely monitor and analyze sales performance in all stores to improve sales and maximize profitability.
- Oversee the P&L to ensure costs are kept in line
- Lead retail teams to reach sales target, KPI requirements and yearly special project target according to Brand strategy
- Understand market dynamics (consumer behaviors, commercial needs) and ensure business consolidation and network development
- Product sensibility, identifying product needs and opportunity according to market needs
- Analyze business trends and KPIs, sharing with Store Managers, identify strategy to ensure that the performances are met
- Understand and analyze market competitors, economy, market trends that impact business over the short and long term
- Liase with Store Planning and operations on renovations, relocations, new openings and providing feedback on needs and opportunities
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with landlords
- Ensure that all stores offer the highest degree of client experience
- Guarantee the execution of CRM initiatives (ie tasks, client list activities) and develop opportunities with loyal and potential clients
- Attract, hire, develop and retain the best team to meet business goals
- Develop individual and team performance and capabilities via clear expectations, conversations and meaningful recognition and accountability
- Foster and maintain an inclusive and collaborative work environment
- Lead effective store visits focused on driving behaviors which enable the team to deliver results in all areas of the business
- Identify and solve problems with sustainable solutions
- Ensure stores are operating in compliance with all policies and procedures
- Will spend 70% of time traveling to stores within area conducting store visits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3+ years management experience, high volume complex business; luxury preferred
- Demonstrated ability to drive results; execute based upon direction and manage multiple competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to build diverse, high performing teams with an inclusive environment
- Ability to embrace challenges, take risks, learn fast and enable change
- flexible to workdays, nights weekends and holidays to meet needs of the business
- Ability to travel overnight and/or between stores as required
- Strong project management and communication skills with ability to work with technical and non-technical business partners at all levels
- Strong in data analysis and Microsoft office suite (excel, powerpoint, outlook, word etc)
- Must possess strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and flexible working multiple projects simultaneously
- Other languages a plus!
**Candidates must be comfortable with 70% travel
**Area covers store locations in Illinois, Georgia, Massachusetts, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan
Employee must be comfortable with physical elements of the job, including (but not limited to) carrying boxes, standing (ability to stay on feet), and using a step ladder.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 - $140,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
