Architect

Join a bespoke, full-service residential design firm located in downtown Chicago as a mid-level Architectural Designer. Be part of a collaborative and fun atmosphere, responsible for coordinating and implementing all phases of architecture and design, from concept through construction and furniture installation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drawing sets in Revit and/or CAD from Schematic Design through Construction Documents.
• Focus heavily on the Construction Administration (CA) phase for specific projects, including technical aspects such as elevations, sections, and detailing.
• Utilize millwork skills as required.
• Create Revit families and/or CAD blocks for project-specific specialty items.
• Reference project information in Studio Designer as needed.
• Prepare PDFs for internal drawing review/coordination, Project Architect or Senior Architectural Designer review, client meetings, and drawing issuances.
• During Construction Administration, prepare sketches to be issued to the General Contractor (GC) and maintain architectural documentations.
• Produce projects for high-end single-family residential projects.
• Oversee and mentor junior architects.

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in interior residential architecture, with considerable experience in high-end residential projects.
• Strong experience working with Revit is required.
• Experience with CAD is a plus.
• Required experience in millwork.

This role requires working in the office five days a week for the first six months, with the option for one remote day thereafter. The office is located in Streeterville. The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
