As a Recreation Aide 1 - Cashier for the City of Wichita, you’ll be the first friendly face that pool guests see when they arrive. This seasonal role is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience handling transactions, assisting patrons, and being part of a team that keeps our neighborhood pools running smoothly.
In this position, you'll greet and check in guests, process payments for pool passes, and answer questions to ensure every visitor has a positive experience. You'll also assist with maintaining pool areas, participate in safety training, and support your team in keeping the facility clean and welcoming. THIS IS A LIMITED PART-TIME POSITION
The day and hours for this position: varies 2026 Important Dates- The interview process is scheduled to begin in early March 2026.
- Save the date! Neighborhood pools are set to open Monday, May 25, 2026.

Required Experience and Training- Must be at least 16 years old
- Obtain an American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid certifications no later than 06/12/2026
- Applicants must satisfactorily demonstrate required skills including CPR-PR and first aid.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Training- Have a current American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid.
- Previous cash handling experience.
