AT, Inc. is the North American sales and support office of German headquartered AT-Automation Technology GmbH known as AT Sensors. AT is a global technology leader in the field of specialty imaging sensors. We develop and produce 3D laser profile sensors, smart thermal cameras, and software for automation, monitoring, and inspection tasks.

We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Applications Engineer to provide superior technical guidance to customers and prospective customers. As an Applications Engineer your role will include a unique blend of expert applications consulting, pre-sales support, post-sale integration guidance, and sales support within a wide array of manufacturing industries.


Job Responsibilities:

· Support the North American sales team and sales partners with application feasibility studies, sensor selection and configuration, system set-up recommendations, software integration.

· Communicate customers’ requirements to technical teams at the headquarters in Germany and provide input on future product developments required.

· Lead technical discovery calls with customers to understand measurement requirements, application details, and environmental constraints. Log information in CRM and other online tools.

  • Conduct meetings for demonstrations, training, technical support, roadmap alignment. Meetings can be online or at customer sites with up to 30% of travel (primarily domestic, some international)
  • Continuously deepen product expertise to effectively position new capabilities and enhancements for customer success.
  • Analyze customer environments and use cases to recommend optimized sensing and inspection solutions.
  • Work AT trade show booth at exhibitions and maintain local lab equipment.


Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to grasp and explain complex technical concepts in a variety of applications
  • Highly desired experience in at least one: programming (C++ or Python), optical systems, machine/computer vision, 3D, thermography, PLCs, robotics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, electrical or software.

· Six to ten years in a technical or related role.


Employment is contingent upon the applicant being available to work in Stoneham, Massachusetts.
