A thorough examination of regulatory and policy documents will be required to ensure for overall comprehension, completion, accuracy, and alignment with applicable policies and procedures. You will also review background research for regulation development including analysis of emission reduction potential, cost, and other relevant factors. Clear and concise communication skills are essential, as you will be preparing letters, memoranda, reports, and guidance, as well as making oral presentations to exchange information with technical and regional staff, industry, government officials, and the public. Additionally, you will develop and coordinate technical training programs for both Bureau and Regional Air Quality personnel.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week with managerial approval. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possessionof a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
