Job Title: Sales Executive – Air & Ocean Freight

Location: Kansas City, MO

Salary: Up to $120,000 Base + Commission + Benefits

A well-established international freight forwarder is looking to hire an experienced Sales Executive – Air & Ocean Freight to drive new business growth across the Kansas City market. Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and win new business opportunities across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Supply Chain solutions
  • Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, cold outreach, referrals, and market intelligence
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to onboarding new accounts
  • Identify customer pain points and provide tailored freight/logistics solutions
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers where required
  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth implementation
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Represent the business at networking events, trade functions, and client meetings


Ideal Background


  • Minimum 3+ years of freight forwarding sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight products
  • Proven track record of winning new business and hitting revenue GP targets
  • Existing customer relationships within Kansas City / Midwest market preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
