Job Summary

The Instructional Aide supports teachers in delivering instruction and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Working within a Catholic school setting, the aide helps reinforce academic skills while modeling Christian values and contributing to the faith-based mission of the school.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and instructional activities
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Support students in reading, writing, math, or other subject areas as directed
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful learning environment
  • Prepare materials, organize classroom resources, and assist with grading tasks
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, or other non-instructional times
  • Provide additional support for students with diverse learning needs
  • Assist with classroom technology and basic troubleshooting
  • Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students and staff
  • Participate in school events, prayer, and liturgical activities
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
  • Basic understanding of instructional support strategies
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and work collaboratively
