Must have wire harness experience! As a Wire Harness Technician you will be responsible for accurately following measurements and instructions to assemble the wiring harnesses products and or prepare-kitting materials, parts with other components provided in accordance with IPC620/Mil-Spec workmanship standards and customer requirements.
Perform manual tasks such as routing wires, crimp and insert terminals into connectors, if needed cutting, stripping wires/cables, insert heat shrink-ID labels ty-wraps and sleeves, soldering, reassembly harness and follow up internal procedures.
Operate cutting-stripping pliers, heat gun as well as other manual tools.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble/routing wire-cables and components through the use of the harness, follow up documentation, parts lists, equipment and tools according with customer specs.
- Read blueprints and written instructions.
- Ability to gather materials and tooling necessary to perform work.
- Cutting, stripping, soldering, marking and terminating wires using hand and semi-automated equipment.
- Fill out travelers accordingly and keep all paperwork together with Harness.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products to ensure they meet both internal and customer specifications.
- Help to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (FOD).
- Effectively use measuring instruments such as volt/amp meters, measuring tape etc.
- Follow up safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor or department manager.
Qualification and Skills:
- Harness Assembler, kitting, cutting, stripping, crimping, etc.
- Assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and motivated
- Excellent hand dexterity
- Ability to handle small parts
- Possesses good communication skills and a great attitude
