JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Electro‑Mechanical Assembler II to support the assembly of mechanical and electrical components used in Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role involves hands‑on, intricate assembly work in a structured, quality‑driven manufacturing environment.

While training is provided, candidates must already have experience using hand tools, power tools, and reading blueprints or schematics. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy precision work and contributing to mission‑critical programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations on mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, panels, frames, drawers, cables, and hardware
  • Assemble both repetitive and non‑repetitive parts following written work instructions, drawings, and diagrams
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and shop equipment to complete assemblies
  • Perform continuity checks and visual inspections on work‑in‑process and completed assemblies
  • Disassemble, rework, modify, and reassemble components as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
  • Ability to work reliably in a team‑based environment
  • Willingness to learn electro‑mechanical assembly processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Previous experience in electro‑mechanical or complex assembly
  • Prior experience supporting government or DoD programs
  • Familiarity with ESD and FOD control requirements
  • Previous Assembler I or similar manufacturing experience

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
