Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager - Oncology MSH - Full Time
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager is responsible for coordination, and assurance of comprehensive health care using advanced practice nursing process and pertinent standards of care, the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions, performance of diagnostic, therapeutic, corrective and prescriptive measures as appropriate for patients within a collaborative practice agreement or relationship with a specific physician on the staff of the Mount Sinai Health System. The APP Manager will provide operational/leadership management to nurse practitioners and advanced practice provider teams across the inpatient and ambulatory settings.
The APP Manager supervises and directs a designated group of Nurse Practitioners with distinct specialty areas of practice. These Nurse practitioners may diagnose, treat, and prescribe for a patient's condition that falls within their specialty area of practice. Nurse practitioner specialty areas may include: Acute Care; Adult Health; College Health; Community Health; Family Health; Gerontology; Holistic Nursing; Neonatology; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Oncology; Palliative Care; Pediatrics; Perinatology; Psychiatry; School Health; and Women's. The APP Managers supervises the optimization of NP clinical practice within a service line for the delivery of health care to patients while promoting a culture of patient-centered care that emphasizes service and compassion. Serves as a liaison to nursing, physicians, department chairs/chiefs, care management, hospital administration, and other hospital departments. Represents the advanced practice nurses department to accrediting bodies ensuring institutional compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative
Collaborates with the Senior Director of Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) and Chair or Service Chief of the respective clinical department in the recruitment, retention, and human resource management of the nurse practitioners.
Professional Practice
Supports and role models the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department of Nursing and The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Promotes own professional growth and development in clinical and managerial role.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $148,525.84 - $167,890.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
