The Northern Recreation and Leisure Services Division is seeking a motivated and dependable Unit 2 Assistant to support daily operational and program needs. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

- Provide a wide variety of support to Unit 2 staff (e.g., summer supplies preparation, delivery, storage, etc.)
- Document, prepare, verify special event reservable items and CPR training equipment
- Relay information and distribute supplies to appropriate staff
- Assist with upkeep, cleaning/sanitizing, storing, and securing Unit items
- Assist in maintaining inventory of Unit supplies and materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, etc.)
- Basic Computer knowledge and ability to learn our inventory system and RecTrac
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a VALID Driver’s License and able to complete defensive driving course
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted. Up to 100 lbs assisted.
- Take, Complete and Pass Defensive Driving Course (upon hiring)

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple requests
May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.Work Hours- Variable schedule based on operational needs
- Up to 35 hours per week (combined assignments)
Working Conditions/Environment
- Work may occur in indoor and outdoor environments
- May include work in confined spaces such as storage areas
- Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Frequent lifting, organizing, and transporting supplies
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and physical activity
- Interaction with staff across multiple locations
