RPStaffing is conducting an immediate search for the Account Coordinator with a major nonprofit based in Arlington, VA. This is an immediate permanent opening and will start as temp-to-hire.

Hours: Full-time / Monday to Friday

Office Location: Arlington, VA

Hourly Compensation During Initial Temporary Period: $21.00 per hour

Position Summary


Working closely with the Senior Director, Associate Member Engagement, this role coordinates advertising, sponsorship, and exhibit fulfillment across internal publications, digital platforms, and events. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality customer service and supporting non-dues revenue initiatives.


KEy Responsibilities


  • Support the management of Associate Member, sponsor, exhibitor, and vendor accounts in coordination with the Senior Director, Associate Member Engagement.
  • Assist with the fulfillment of advertising, sponsorship, and exhibit deliverables across print, digital, and event platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, contracts, deliverables, and account details.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to track conference timelines, advertising deadlines, and sponsorship fulfillment requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between sponsors and internal teams to ensure contracted deliverables are received, scheduled, and executed accurately.
  • Prepare and distribute deliverable calendars, specification sheets, and guidance to sponsors; respond to questions and provide ongoing support.
  • Represent the association professionally at events, including assisting with exhibitor setup and onsite customer service.
  • Assist with sales support for new revenue or growth initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to review and update sales information, including prospectuses, sales platforms, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate with the Meetings Manager and other staff on expo and meeting logistics.
  • Perform additional projects or duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and web-based tools; willingness to learn new systems and software.
  • Familiarity with sponsorship, advertising, membership, or sales databases (e.g., Association Anywhere) preferred.
  • Understanding of nonprofit, association, or member-based organization operations preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of related professional experience; association experience preferred.
