TheLouisiana Special School District (LSSD)is an education service agency that provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant 6 to provide advanced-level administrative and operational support to senior leadership. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Five years of experience in administrative services.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job Duties:- Provide high-level administrative support to the superintendent of the agency.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
- Serve as a liaison between departments, external partners, and leadership.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Oversee office operations and assist with process improvements.
- Coordinate special projects, events, and executive initiatives.
- Maintain records, databases, and filing systems for the superintendent's office.
Position-Specific Details
Appointment Type:Probational: The chosen application will be required to take a probational appointment. If a
Permanent employee of the LA Special School District, the appointment will be promotional within the same pay scale.
Location:The Administrative Assistant 6 position is located in the office of the Superintendent at the LA Special School District in Baton Rouge, LA.Work Schedule:Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday.
