General Summary: Supervise nursing students in the clinical area to assist with learning and ensure patient safety. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Plan clinical learning experiences for nursing students to make maximum use of clinical time. - Make clinical assignments for nursing students before client care experience. - Be in clinical facility and available during assigned clinical time for supervision and/or counseling with nursing students. - Evaluate student performances in the clinical area. - Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Qualifications: - Currently licensed (or eligible) by the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts as an Athletic Trainer. - Bachelor's Degree required. - Current, unencumbered, Missouri nursing license. Physical Requirements: - Ability to sit for long periods of time and speak in a clear voice. Behavior: The faculty member must be capable of exercising good judgment and developing empathetic relationships with students. Critical Thinking: The faculty member must possess sufficient abilities in the areas of calculation, critical problem-solving, reasoning, and judgment.
