Accounting Specialist (Part Time)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established real estate and private equity firm with an active healthcare operating platform. This client owns and operates outpatient medical facilities and is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented finance professional to support their day-to-day financial operations.


This is a contract (1099) position offering approximately 25 hours per week, with a hybrid/remote schedule based in Phoenix. The Accounting Specialist will serve as a key financial resource, supporting AR/AP, financial reporting, payroll review, budgeting, and vendor management.


What You'll Be Doing

• Manage accounts payable and receivable

• Prepare recurring financial reports and track operational KPIs

• Monitor AR aging balances and allocate collections across entities

• Review payroll for accuracy in coordination with third-party providers

• Process vendor applications and manage ongoing vendor relationships

• Assist with budget updates and annual budget planning alongside clinical leadership

• Respond to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from leadership

• Coordinate internal time tracking across administrative and clinical functions


Ideal Background

• Experience in accounting, finance, or healthcare operations

• Familiarity with medical practice or healthcare environments is a strong plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and financial reporting tools

• Working knowledge of GAAP in a multi-entity setting

• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle competing priorities

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with both corporate and clinical stakeholders
