Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Near Burbank
Job Status (direct hire, consulting, consulting with possibility of hire): Direct Hire
Job Site Status (onsite/hybrid/remote): Our client will eventually have a hybrid work status of three days/week in the office but initially, the Accounting Manager will be working remotely.
Compensation: Salary range is from $110,000/year to $130,000/year.
Our client, in partnership with CV Resources, seeks a talented Accounting Manager to join their Corporate Finance and Accounting Team. This role reports to a Controller.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Accounting
- Oversee month-end closes of the General Ledger (G/L across multiple entities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
- Approve all journal entries.
- Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation of inventory subledger to G/L, and review of reserves/adjustments.
- Manage a team of five (5) accounting professionals.
Accounting (Lease)
- Maintain lease accounting schedules and record monthly ASC 842 journal entries (ROU assets, lease liabilities, interest, and amortization).
- Review new and modified lease agreements to determine appropriate classification and ensure accurate accounting and disclosures.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee all Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions.
Financial Reporting
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to improve financial reporting processes.
- Generate financial statements for upper management.
- Provide financial updates to senior leadership.
Compliance and Controls
- Support executives with all external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and answering all questions.
- Ensure all accounting processes follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Miscellaneous
- Mange audit and tax preparation with external firms.
- Double-check sales tax filings for multiple states.
- Accept all relevant tasks as given by upper management.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
- At least seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
- Multi Entity/BU experience
