Tire Storage provides a seasonal convenience service to drivers, managing tire swap-out, secure storage, and delivery with a growing multi-location footprint.POSITION SUMMARYThe Accounting Manager, employed by Source Communications, is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations across all four TKW Capital portfolio companies listed above. This role oversees day-to-day accounting functions, manages a team of three bookkeepers (one contractor), and serves as the central accounting liaison to the HR Director and executiveleadership across all organizations. The Accounting Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, and partners closely with executive leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making. As TKW Capital continues to grow, this position may expand into a Controller role with broader financial leadership responsibilities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMulti-Company Accounting Oversight Manage day-to-day accounting operations across Source Communications, RMEP Elevators, Aspire Elevators, and Tire Storage Oversee and supervise a team of three bookkeepers (one contractor), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in accounting practices Maintain separate but standardized accounting processes, chart of accounts, and reporting structures for each entity Prepare consolidated and company-specific financial reports as needed for leadership and board reviewFinancial Reporting & Close Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements for each company Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations of variances and trends Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for each entityDay-to-Day Accounting Operations Manage general ledger functions across all companies using NetSuite, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Xero Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Monitor and manage company cash flow across all entities Calculate, file, and pay all sales taxes per jurisdiction requirements Ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation for complex transactions Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and best practicesPayroll Processing Oversee payroll processing across all four companies through each payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Calculate specialty pay (commissions, bonuses, overtime) and submit to HR for payroll administration Partner with the HR Director to ensure payroll data accuracy, benefits deductions, and compliance with labor laws Reconcile payroll records to general ledger each pay period Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirementsCorporate Credit Cards Manage company credit card programs across all portfolio companies Review and approve credit card charges for compliance with company policies Reconcile credit card statements monthly and ensure proper expense coding Enforce credit card usage policies and resolve discrepanciesAdministrative Responsibilities Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for each portfolio company Coordinate administrative functions that cross company lines (intercompany transactions, shared services, consolidated reporting) Partner with the HR Director across organizations on compensation, benefits, payroll, and compliance matters Maintain accounting records, filing systems, and documentation in compliance with retention policies Serve as administrator and primary internal support for NetSuite, QBO, and Xero across all companies Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and banking relationships as needed Travel to company locations as business needs arise (rarely)Internal Controls & Compliance Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets across all entities Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other applicable financial requirements Monitor budget performance and provide insights to support cost control and operational efficiencyLeadership & Cross-Functional Partnership Lead, mentor, and develop bookkeepers and accounting staff across all companies Promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in accounting operations Partner with Operations, HR, and other departments to support financial initiatives and system improvements Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersPERFORMANCE METRICSSuccess in this role will be measured against the following key performance indicators: Monthly Close Timeliness: Complete month-end close for all four companies by business day 5 of the following month Financial Accuracy: Maintain error rate below 1% in financial statements and ledger reconciliations Tax Compliance: 100% on-time filing and payment of all sales tax, payroll tax, and regulatory filings across all jurisdictions Bookkeeper Team Performance: Ensure bookkeepers complete their assigned tasks (AP, AR, reconciliations) within established SLAs with 95%+ accuracy Cash Flow Management: Provide weekly cash position reports across all entities withaccurate forecasting Process Improvement: Identify and implement at least two process improvements per year that reduce manual work, improve accuracy, or close compliance gaps Budget Variance: Provide monthly budget-to-actual variance reports with actionable insights within 3 business days of close Audit Readiness: Maintain audit-ready documentation and support successful annual audit with zero material findingsQUALIFICATIONSRequired: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Xero Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Prior experience in an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller role Demonstrated ability to manage multiple entities or business units simultaneously Experience overseeing bookkeepers or junior
