Overview
BrightSpring Health Service is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our team on a year-round basis. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated accounting student eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic corporate accounting environment. The intern will support the Corporate Accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and participating in the monthly close process.
The intern will also assist with managing billing and cost reports for the Department of Labor, analyzing financial data, supporting external audits, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies. This hands-on role offers exposure to Oracle Fusion and capital expenditure processes, providing a well-rounded foundation in corporate finance.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited universityMajoring in Accounting or a related fieldMinimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)Completion of introductory accounting courses requiredNo prior work experience necessary, though basic knowledge of accounting principles is expectedFamiliarity with accounting software such as Oracle Fusion, QuickBooks, or Xero is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesSolid analytical and mathematical skillsAbility to interpret and work with technical financial documentationCapable of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive informationSelf-motivated and able to work both independently and collaborativelyComfortable adapting to new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
