Accounting Specialist (Payroll & NetSuite) – Jacksonville, FL

A well-established nonprofit organization in Jacksonville is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role will primarily support payroll processing, accounts payable, receivables entry, and accounting operations within NetSuite.

Location: Northwest Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Work Setting: Fully onsite

Employment Type: Temp-to-perm

Pay: Dependent on experience ($22-25 per hour; negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for approximately 100 employees
• Assist with accounts payable processing and invoice management
• Enter and manage receivable payments within NetSuite
• Support accounting operations related to grant activity
• Maintain accurate documentation for payroll, AP, AR, and accounting transactions
• Assist with administrative accounting tasks within NetSuite
• Collaborate with accounting and HR teams to ensure accurate payroll and financial data

Payroll will be the primary focus at the start of the role, with the opportunity to support additional accounting functions as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on NetSuite experience
• Payroll processing experience
• Accounts payable experience
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work fully onsite in Jacksonville, FL
