MajorDuties

  • This position is ONLY open to surplus and displaced Small Business Administration employees eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP); displaced Federal employees in the local commuting area eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP); and VEOA eligibles. To be eligible for CTAP or ICTAP consideration, you may only apply for a position that is at or below the grade level, and does not have greater promotion potential, of the position from which you are being (or have been) separated. Major Duties: Provides comprehensive advice and guidance for very complex and systemic problems pertaining to agency financial/accounting systems and ensures agency adherence to Federal and professional accounting standards. Leads in identifying systemic problems and issues; determines appropriate actions required to improve operating program effectiveness. Plans, designs, and conducts comprehensive studies of significant scope and complexity relative to the overall accounting program and/or functions thereof.

This is a non-bargaining unit position. This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP). Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) is a program that helps "surplus" or "displaced" federal employees improve their chances of finding a new job in their current agency (intra-agency, i.e. SBA employees only).
