This position is located in the Revenue Section within the Office of Management and Finance, which is responsible for all functions related to budget development, expenditure control and monitoring, financial analysis, reconciliation and reporting, grants and interagency project accounting, operating cash management, and program financial structure management.
Five years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORSix years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORA bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORA bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORAn advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; ORPossession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. Job Duties:- Determines and classifies revenue as to sources of funding (statutory dedication or other sources) and enters appropriate document electronically into the State's LaGov Financial System.
- Prepares annual and quarterly financial statements for the Department's Statutorily Dedicated Funds.
- Monitors and processes credit and debit memos that occur because of insufficient funds relating to deposits.
