ICF is seeking an Energy Efficiency Account Manager to support the RISE (Rebuilding Incentives for Sustainable Electric) Homes program in California. This strategic initiative sits at the nexus of residential electrification and disaster management, supporting communities affected by natural disasters as they navigate reconstruction into new decarbonized homes. You’llfocus on developing and nurturing relationships with building industry trade allies, residential builders, developers, raters, homebuilder associations, and local energy code departments.The ideal candidate hassufficient knowledge or experience in implementing residential construction or electrification projects, including building code or project scoping and development.

This hybrid role combines homeoffice and field work, giving you flexibility and variety each day.You’llpartner with stakeholders, trade allies, and ICF team members to provide outreach, recruitment, and technical support while driving improvements in energyefficient, allelectric new construction.You’llalso expand partnerships with builders, developers, raters, homebuilder associations, and local energy code departments.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct trade ally outreach and recruitment across California by presenting program offerings and distributing program marketing material to raise program awareness across multiple strategic partners including homebuilder associations, building departments, permit offices, builders, community-based organizations, lumberyards and more.
  • Conduct strategic field-based site visits to support Quality Assurance / Quality Control and forecasting updates on programparticipatingresidential new construction projects ensuring that the evaluation,implementationand verification of utility sponsored energy efficiency and decarbonization projects are successfully executed.
  • Provideprogram-specific guidance toassistbuilders, developers, architects, engineers,contractorsand other trade allies in navigating utility-sponsored new construction programs. Must be able to effectively communicatetoboth technical trade allies and non-technical audiences.
  • Attend events to build andmaintainrelationships with key market actors in the home improvement industry including architects, engineers, contractors, energy raters, consultants, home inspectors, public officials, public interest groups, and customers.
  • Track andmaintaina database of new constructionsstarts, to report on market activity and to perform outreach to key project stakeholders such as developers,buildersand architects.
  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with home builders,contractorsand consultants in order to assess their needs and to receive feedback on their experience with the program.
  • Conduct regular data analysis related to project completions, enrollment pipelines and participant information andassistin the development and maintenance of the Performance Dashboard.
  • Perform desktop Quality Assurance / Quality Control to review and verify adherence to program standards,utilizingdata collected during site visits and/or project building plans.
  • Prepare status reports to accurately describe andmonitorprogress towards program goals on contractor/consultant participation and the completion of eligible projects.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel and throughout the state of California. Travel requirements are up to40% of the time (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degreeinConstruction Management, Building Science, Energy Systems,Sustainabilityor related subject(or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 2+ years of related work experience with energy efficiency, residential construction, or building scienceand/or related experience
  • Must havevaliddriver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

What we would like you to have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • HERS, BPI,LEEDor Passive House credentials
  • Expertisein residential construction sectors such as single family,multifamilyand manufactured housing.
  • Expertise inbuilding construction, energy resources, or energy policy.
  • Expertisewith the California energy codes, specifically Title 24.
  • Familiaritywith field diagnostic tools, specifically a blower door and duct blaster.
  • Familiarity with energy modeling software platforms
  • Building andmaintainingrelationships with key market actors in the residential construction industry including home builders, architects, engineers, contractors, real estate agents, home energy rating specialists, and developers
  • Knowledge of residential energy-efficient building applications, renewable technologies, or high-performance construction practices and technologies

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$73,770.00 - $125,408.00
