Account Executive – Cybersecurity (Continuous Penetration Testing)

On behalf of our client, we're searching for a Senior Account Executive to join one of the standout cybersecurity startups in the market - a business that's moving fast, winning deals, and showing no signs of slowing down.


Funded multiple times over in rapid succession, our client has built an AI-powered platform that finds real, exploitable vulnerabilities on a continuous basis - giving enterprises a step-change advantage over attackers. The product is resonating, the logos are growing, and now they're building out the sales team to accelerate what's already working.


About the Role

As an Account Executive, you'll own and drive new business across your territory - engaging enterprise security buyers, running a disciplined sales process, and closing meaningful deals. You'll be backed by a strong product, a supportive team, and a pipeline of inbound interest to complement your outbound efforts.


This is a hunter role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to sell something they can genuinely get behind.


Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close across your enterprise territory
  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with CISOs, security leaders, and key economic buyers
  • Run sharp discovery, deliver compelling demonstrations, and manage POCs through to commercial close
  • Build and maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline with consistent forecasting discipline
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Leadership to maximise deal velocity
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer engagements across your region


Requirements

  • 3+ years of enterprise sales experience within cybersecurity
  • Proven track record of closing new business and consistently hitting or exceeding quota
  • Experience selling into security, IT, or engineering personas at mid-market to enterprise level
  • Familiarity with offensive security, penetration testing, or vulnerability management is a strong plus
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in an early-stage environment
  • Based in or around Chicago with the ability to travel for key customer meetings and events
