Account Executive – Medical Sales - Diagnostics

Territory-Based in Greater Albany, NY

This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who thrives in a consultative environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative testing solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Own and grow a defined territory, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Expand and deepen relationships within existing hospital and health system accounts
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted clinical segments
  • Deliver strategic, value-based presentations to physicians, clinicians, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Build and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to drive growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (clinical, product, market access) to close opportunities
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Leverage internal resources to deliver tailored clinical and business solutions
  • Analyze territory data to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance
  • Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and industry events


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of medical sales experience (any specialty considered)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments
  • Experience calling on hospitals, health systems, or clinical stakeholders is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clinical or technical information effectively
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and standard business software
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred


Nice to Have

  • Experience in diagnostics, genomics, or laboratory services
  • Exposure to pediatric, hospital, or specialty clinical environments
  • Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (Challenger, SPIN, etc.)
