JOB SUMMARY
The Account Development Manager drives the overall penetration, retention and expansion footprint of our largest and most impactful multi-unit customers at DON and Sysco. This role is responsible for the daily account management, portfolio review to identify growth opportunities and customer overall customer development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the daily management of assigned account portfolio to best support overall needs of customer.
Identify and propose penetration opportunities through leveraging the entire DON product catalog to best complete a total analysis on operator business.
Develop relationship and follow up on goals with assigned account portfolio through working with Senior Director, Account Management & CMU
Engage Equipment & Supply Product, Customer Service and Bids teams as needed, to support expansion efforts and revenue growth of customer base.
Participate in Qtly and yearly Business Review‘s with assigned customers.
Support and participate in onboarding and training of assigned accounts as they transition into DON customer base
Continually communicate opportunities, wins, progress, ideas, etc. with key account decision makers.
Identify underperforming customers and develop improvement plans with leadership to drive overall profitability and growth.
Work with RNBD Team and Equipment & Supply teams on facilitating quotes as assigned
Provide process and department training (i.e. quotes, customer service, product team, etc.) customer team as needed
Address inquiries from customers (shipping, product, expediting, quotes.)
Use experience and knowledge to resolve escalated or difficult issues and escalate to Department Manager/Director when issue exceeds authority.
Meet or exceed sales goals.
Responds timely and accurately to all incoming customer correspondence.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Account management experience in an enterprise level support environment with a strong understanding of corporate account support.
Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in food service industry or related field
Ability to discern the business and operational abilities to meet customers’ needs based upon the business requirements & objectives of each product and customer.
Customer centric and Internet savvy
Strong MS Office skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Restaurant supply/commercial food service experience
Understanding of E&S products.
Understanding of Sysco solutions.
Bilingual Spanish
Able to travel on occasion with some overnight stays
