Job Description
This role focuses on heavy and line maintenance for ERJ 135/145 and CRJ 200 aircraft, ensuring all aircraft, engines, and components remain safe, airworthy, and compliant with all applicable specifications and procedures. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, diagnose and repair defects, document all work accurately, and support reliable operations for all incoming and departing flights during your shift at ORD.

Work Environment
This position is based at ORD and involves primarily outdoor work performing line maintenance on the ramp in varying weather conditions. You will work with regional jet aircraft, including ERJ 135/145 and CRJ 200, using standard aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and technical documentation. The schedule follows a rotating 4‑days‑on/3‑days‑off and 3‑days‑on/4‑days‑off pattern, with shifts running from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Typical patterns include Sunday–Tuesday with every other Saturday, and Wednesday–Friday with every other Saturday. The environment is fast‑paced and operationally focused, with close coordination among maintenance, operations, and flight crews to support safe and on‑time departures.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
