Job Title: 2nd Shift Material Handler
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our dynamic team. This position involves transporting materials within the facility, supporting production lines, managing inventory, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires efficient operation of warehouse equipment and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility to designated areas, including the production floor, warehouse, and shipping areas.
  • Supply production lines with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Properly label and store materials in assigned locations, optimizing space and ensuring easy accessibility.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in efforts to improve material handling processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a similar role with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners to track materials.
  • Ability to document and track inventory accurately.
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly EPICOR.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in an HVAC or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.

Work Environment

Our facility offers a comfortable, air-conditioned environment equipped with advanced technology. The position requires physical activities such as lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and climbing portable ladders. Personal Protection Equipment is necessary to ensure safety. The work schedule is Mon-Thurs from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am, following a 4x10 shift format with a 10% shift differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
