Job Description
The Medical Assistant supports a single physician by providing comprehensive clinical care to a high-volume panel of adult and geriatric patients. This role includes performing full patient workups, obtaining detailed medical histories, taking manual vital signs, drawing blood, and reconciling medications for a primarily 55+ and underserved patient population. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality, compassionate care throughout the clinic day.

Work Environment
This position is based in a busy outpatient clinical setting supporting one physician with a schedule of approximately 18–22 patients per day. Patient appointments are typically scheduled in 30-minute intervals, requiring efficient time management and steady workflow. Standard work hours follow daytime clinic shifts, generally from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role involves frequent direct patient contact, including geriatric and underserved populations, and regular use of clinical equipment for vital signs and phlebotomy, as well as an electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation. The environment emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and compassionate care while maintaining clinical and safety standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
