(Hybrid) Order Management Specialist

SolomonEdwards is partnering with a leading, global leader in the manufacturing of rigid and flexible packaging and specialty film solutions. In this role you are the liaison between our Client and the End-Customer! You coordinate all in-house contact with assigned customers, salespeople and Client employees who are placing orders or making inquiries related to product availability, orders, order status, or shipment dates.

What you'll do:

  • Processes orders and keeps track of deadlines, including order entry, order tracking and invoicing in the system.
  • Securing and tracking customer complaints; contact person for escalations of complex complaints/issues.
  • Support resolving credit holds (together with Sales Admin/SCC).
  • Handles order changes in cooperation /supported by with all relevant departments.
  • Monitors late orders, conducts follow-up and coordination with relevant departments such as Sales and Logistics.
  • Managing delivery dates & late orders with proactive communication.
  • Responds to customer and sales inquiries regarding order status.
  • Enter customer cases in Salesforce.
  • Support with conducting second edit process for orders entered in SAP.
  • Be able to fill in as back up in the event of planned PTO or emergencies.


What we're looking for:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong English skills both written and verbally.
  • Comfortable with email communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, preferably in SAP and Salesforce (transactional and investigative processes).


Initial Compensation & Benefits (Contract Phase):

  • Pay rate up to $26/hour, plus 1.5x overtime pay over 40 hours
  • Working M-F, 8a-4:30p (hybrid, 2 days in-office, 3 remote)
