Home Loan Specialist / Loan Closing Assistant (Entry Level)

The Home Loan Specialist / Loan Closing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Closing, Funding, and Financial departments by assisting brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams throughout the loan closing process. This position serves as a primary point of contact for closing‑related inquiries, performs back‑office loan tasks, and helps ensure files are compliant, complete, and ready to close. • Handle inbound calls from brokers and settlement agents, answering closing‑related questions and providing guidance
  • Call volume may range from 5–25 calls per day, depending on business needs
• Respond to portal messages, emails, and chat inquiries related to loan closings
• Perform back‑office functions, including document preparation, review, and title clearance
• Troubleshoot and coordinate third‑party orders (title, appraisal, hazard insurance, flood certification, credit, etc.)
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and ready to close
• Evaluate loan files for product guideline and regulatory compliance
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of loan activities

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Mortgage, title, escrow, or financial services experience preferred but not required
• Recent graduates or candidates with minimal experience are encouraged to apply
• Candidates without a degree must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Strong phone skills with excellent customer service and professionalism
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with Encompass is preferred but not required
• Ability to become certified in Fee Collaboration and Closing

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Moorpark,CA.
