Position Description
Position Title: Classroom Teacher (Grades 1 & 2)
Position Status: Part-Time Classroom Teacher (Thursday & Friday)
Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Lower School. Teacher to lead a combined 1st and 2nd-grade classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love of learning in young students while nurturing their spiritual and academic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHA's curriculum.
- Provide instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, and math, using leveled groups with the support of a classroom aide.
- Teach additional subjects such as Nature Study, Latin, and Catechesis, while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management.
- Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience.
- Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Support students' individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:
- Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting.
- Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
- Teaching certificate is not required, but should have experience with elementary education, classical education, faith based instruction or homeschool curriculum.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
